Learning music can be considered fundamental in various ways, depending on one's perspective & goals. Here are several reasons why learning music can be considered fundamental.
While learning music may not be considered essential for everyone, its fundamental nature is evident in the myriad ways it enriches individuals' lives, contributing to personal, cultural, and cognitive development. Whether as a hobby or a profession, music plays an important role in human experience and expression.
“I believe in doing things differently—with intention, with passion, and with students at the center of it all. Every detail here reflects that mindset.”

“I have taken lessons with Mr. Mike for 8 years, and I can honestly say that he is one of the best teachers I have ever had. Not only has he helped me become a high-level pianist, but he has also fostered my love for classical music. Where I feel he has helped me the most is in the interpretation of the pieces I have played.
For example, when I was learning Franz Liszt’s La Campanella, he changed my understanding of the piece by teaching me how to play it in a more playful, improvisatory way. When working on Rachmaninoff’s Prelude in G Minor, he taught me how the outer 2 sections have a military march feel and how that contrasts with the slower, more lyrical middle section. Interpretation is one of the hardest skills to master as a musician, so I am thankful for how much Mr. Mike has helped me improve on it.
I can tell that Mr. Mike truly cares about his students and that he loves watching them grow in their musicianship. He makes lessons very engaging and enjoyable – his funny personality will always put a smile on your face. Having the lessons each week was always something I would look forward to, especially when I was having a bad week. I am very grateful to have had Mr. Mike as a teacher, and I will never forget how he has taught me the art of music.”

Mr. Mike is such a funny guy. He makes me laugh when I am having a hard time learning something new. He even taught me how to relax when I am stressed out. I like that he lets me pick songs I want to learn. I enjoy learning from him!”
Mr. Mike is an excellent teacher who is truly passionate about sharing his knowledge about piano. Our daughter Alyssa has been his student for 3 years now. Her lessons are only done virtually but the progress she has made is tremendous! Without a doubt Alyssa is on her way to becoming a great pianist because of Mr. Mike. We highly recommend him!”
—The Results—
The results vary from student to student.
Based on several years of experience, students who continue lessons for 8 to 10 years exhibit a command over their instrument, and will retain a strong knowledge of music that will last them a lifetime.
For all students, no matter what their level might be, I will always design and construct a lesson plan that fits your child’s needs while keeping them engaged and challenged throughout their lesson course.
